Mayo Drake Student Scholarship Award

This scholarship – which was established in 1993 in memory of Mayo Drake – enables eligible library science students to attend the SCC/MLA annual meeting. Applicants should be contemplating careers in medical librarianship.

Successful applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Enrolled in or accepted for admission to an ALA-accredited graduate library school. (See the Directory of Accredited LIS Master’s Programs for address and accreditation information.)
  • Reside in or attend graduate school in one of the following states: Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, or Texas.
  • Be a current member of SCC/MLA. (Membership dues for students are $5 per year, so please join now.)
